Langley Mill Pottery
- its History & its Wares
by John & Jenifer Giblin

This well researched book on Langley Ware gives the first comprehensive history of the pottery and its wares from its establishment in 1865 to its closure in 1982.

It has quickly established itself as the reference book for all aspects of the pottery. The history and influence of each new pottery owner is discussed in detail and very well illustrated in colour. Starting with the Derbyshire salt-glazed  wares of James Calvert, through the art wares of both the Calvert & Lovatt and Lovatt & Lovatt periods, it concludes with the Langley and Denby wares.

A very extensive listing of the hundreds of pottery back stamps is also included, with the marks of individual artists and workers, and their corresponding dates.
